In fact writing desks, meeting tables, and office chairs are all things the Amish have been making for centuries. Granted, they would consider a meeting table a large dining table, suitable for a big family, but the concept remains the same.

This harkens back to the Amish life philosophy that one should not be showy or attempt to draw attention to one self.
